No Child Should Go Hungry

Over two and a half million children in the UK face food poverty each month, a rise of 27% since before COVID-19 struck, while more than 1.5 million adults in Britain report they can't buy enough food.

Working in partnership with FareShare and The Felix Project, our Food From The Heart campaign provides nutritious, balanced meals for children and families struggling to provide their next meal.

In the coming year, the Foundation will ensure 6,000 children receive meals for every day of the school holidays, while also working to alleviate the shame and stigma faced by those struggling to afford food. In Brazil, where 60% of children live in poverty, the Foundation's immediate focus is São Paulo, home to 58 million people living with food insecurity. In 2020, the Food From The Heart and One Million and One Meals campaigns delivered 1.14 million meals nationally to NHS workers and children in food poverty, with over a million more meals committed across the UK and Brazil in 2022.
